Activities
Being a winter camp there are a lot of things to do: sledding, throwing snowballs, making snowmen etc. But there are also a lot of activities going on at Rovent in which everyone is welcome to take part. There is so much going on, in fact, you might not be able to do everything.

Don't forget, in addition to the list below, there is also opening ceremonies and closing ceremonies, and there may be a Leader's meeting, a Rover Roundtable and even Woodbadge training.

Over the past few years more and more groups have been showing up earlier and earlier on Friday which meant they had Friday evening free to take part in some type of gathering. Rovent has been proud to bring you a Friday Night Movie in keeping with the year's theme.

After Opening

Immediately after Opening Ceremonies a couple of events get underway. These have varied over the years but they usually take the form of 1. a race and 2. bowling. We have had tricycle races, relay races and 3 legged races, all depending on the theme and what creative ideas can be put to use. We have also had turkey bowling, spam bowling, curling and canon ball bowling, again dependent on theme and creativity. Once everybody has had their go at these events the nets and sticks are pulled out and it's Game On! for all those who are interested.

Afternoon

You will have no problems keeping busy Saturday afternoon. We have Horizontal Bungee and an Obstacle Course to test your power and dexterity through the snow. Rovent's own bottomless boat race, the Henley on the Similkameen also takes place followed by Snow Golf. Scavenger Hunt judging takes place and groups are busy creating their snow sculptures and camp site gateways for judging in the late afternoon.

Evening

When the sun goes down the lights go on for the Strawberry Flats Competition. A talent show of sorts the Strawberry Flats is steeped in Rovent lore and tradition. Truly a spectable to you have to experience. Once we have crowned our latest winner the tunes spin into the early hours.
